was such a fan of our ron, best i saw him was on the passing show tour summer 74.i went to all 3 shows he played on the racecourse at chester.we went down to see him in the daytime and went into town with him to give out posters for the gigs, one of which i still have, albit battered an torn.he even thanked us on the saturday eve gig,the last one, for coming along to all the gigs.can you imagine that,he thanked us!!!saw plonk alot in the 70s.always had a hard core following, but most folk werent interested, including the so called experts on the faces an small faces.his music is wonderful, takes you too another world, one less full of bullshit,im told ronnie could be a pain in the arse, cant we all.but all i know is the man who would always make time for a chat,an autograph,a pint, for his fans.a lovely fella.my favourite ronnie moment was at chester ,on a barmy summers eve, midway thru the show he stopped playin and said,we aint done the raffle.ha,ha,so he did the raffle, mid set,can you imagine anyone doing that, only ronnie.in a world of prima donns the bloke was a gem..by the way the raffle was done out of a plastic bucket and my number came up.got a load of signed goodies...whilst shaking his hand and collecting the prize he wispers, you can even keep the bucket.laughs out loud an starts the band up...miss you ronnie but you left us such a legacy of great songs.as for the faces reuniting...dont bother boys...at least paul weller has kept his legacy, and dignaty intact.

Just been listening to the first 3 Solo/Slim Chance albums by Ronnie, again after quite a while. Forgot how good they were. Shame the cds are now out of print again, shame, nay it's a travesty! God bless you Plonk!
